What we collect
If you create an account, we collect your email address and, optionally, a username. Your meditation session history (dates, durations, session type, and any notes or mood you add) is stored on your device, and — only if you're signed in — synced to our database so it's available across your devices. If you enable Apple Health integration, session data is written to and read from your device's Health app using Apple's HealthKit APIs; that health data stays on your device and is never sent to us or anyone else.
How we use it
Your email is used solely to manage your account (sign-in, password resets, and syncing your data across devices). Session data is used to power the app's own stats, calendar, and bonsai growth features. We do not use any of this data for advertising, and we never sell or share it with third parties.
No tracking, no ads
Bonsai has no analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs of any kind. We don't profile you or your usage for marketing purposes.
Where it's stored
Locally on your device (AsyncStorage), and — only for signed-in users — in a Supabase-hosted database used solely to back up and sync your account data.
Your choices
You can use Bonsai entirely without an account, in which case nothing leaves your device. If you have an account, you can delete it (and all associated data) at any time from the You tab, or by emailing indivisiblyprime@gmail.com.
Children
Bonsai is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
